U.N.: No evidence of Israeli massacre at Jenin
A U.N. report on events at the Jenin refugee camp released Thursday found no evidence to support a Palestinian claim that 500 people were killed there by Israeli forces earlier this year.The report concludes that the Palestinian death toll is a “figure that has not been substantiated in light of the evidence that has emerged.” The Israeli Defense Forces put the death toll at 52, the report notes.
