Remember how I bitched about nutcases thinking the Administration assassinated Paul Wellstone? Well, it seems Ted Rall thinks there may be something to it. Why? Well, because the internet’s abuzz! Oh, well, hell, then I guess it’s true.

Look, everyone knows you can’t win a race against a dead man. Ashcroft lost to Mel Carnahan, who died in a plane crash a few weeks before election 2000, and the seat was then given to Carnahan’s wife. If Wellstone is kept on the ballot, he’d win. And then Jesse Ventura would have to appoint someone to take his place. Do you think the Republican’s would rely on Ventura maybe putting a Republican in his place? And say Mondale runs (which is a given by now). Democrats are going to win. It’s Walter Mondale, for God’s sake, the man’s a legend in Minnesota and there’s no way you can beat him in a week.

So not only is this assassination plot bullshit, but it’s completely not feasible.

Dumbasses.
