Note to those reading my Nanowrimo stuff: this is NOT autobiographical. Perhaps semi but, no, not really. I am perfectly happy with my relationship. Okay, so maybe not so with my living situation and sometimes my job, but I am really really really happy with my relationship. It’s the best thing I’ve got going for me right now. So don’t try to read into this and say “Holy crap, Jason’s miserable!” because, while that may be the case, it’s not for the same reasons as the narrator of my story.

Just felt I needed the disclaimer.

The reason a lot of the book will probably parallel parts of my life is, well, you write what you know, and I know me. I don’t really know where I’m heading with it, probably just gonna toss in parts of all my different ideas, from the Bush43 novel to God’s Diner to whatever else I’ve thought of over the years.

And as you may have noticed, I’m trying to write in second person, present tense and have the main character actually speak no real dialogue. Speak as it quotes, he’ll speak, but you just won’t see ‘”blah blah blah,” you said’ or anything like that. As if writing 50,000 words in one month wasn’t hard enough I decide to make the writing more of a challenge. Toss on that the fact that I have to move this month, it’s the holidays, and a bunch of other real life stuff, and I’ll be lucky to get 15k words. Sigh. We’ll see.
