Dirty Little Secret

Sunday, August 7th, 2005

Alright, I have to confess. Over the last few months I’ve become a huge fan of hip hop and R&B. Damn, is there some good music coming out of the genre. Really. The only radio station I can listen to in the area is 92.1 because the music’s better than anything else on the dial and the DJ’s are freakin’ great. They obviously love their work and the music and they’re all over the place. It’s just fun listening. And the music really have some substence to it, especially when you put it side by side with all that neu-metal crap they call “music” that the other stations are all over.

Yes, you can hear the one and only “produced” original I have, Twelve Monkeys, as well as two covers, Sublime’s “Bad Fish” and a cover of The Grouds’ cover of Snoop Dogg’s “Gin and Juice”. Quality ain’t the best and, well, neither’s the music, but, hey, figured I’d share.

UPDATE: Now you can get my cover of Dan Bern’s “Tiger Woods” as well. Just recorded it today. In one sitting. And you can tell. Anyway, it’s my first test of the 8-trak and Audacity in almost a year so I’m cutting myself some slack. Enjoy.

Ode To My Cat

Did this last November when I was fiddling around with the 8-trak and my guitar. Pantera happened to be in the room, so a song was born. Not that it’s good. And I’m usually better than this. Really.

Okay, not really, but still…
