The air raid sirens atop VCU’s James Branch Cabell Library have gone off twice today.  Earlier today VCU claimed that last night’s false alarm was because of someone working on something or another on the roof setting it off.  No word on what today’s alerts were caused by.

The lack of response by students out on the street is to be expected.

Way to waste money, VCU.

VCU will be testing the emergency notification system at noon on Wednesday, Feburary 6th.

After the tragedy at VT, VCU decided the best way to tell everyone “HOLY SHIT, SOMETHING’S WRONG!!!!” was to install air raid sirens in strategic locations. When one hears these sirens they are to run, not walk, into the nearest building (Oops, that’s the building with the threat in it, our bad) and either seek out or await further instructions which will be delivered by runners who will go from building to building, screaming that the redcoats are coming, but only if there are a certain number of lanterns seen in President Trani’s window. Or you can opt into getting this texted to your cell phone, cause they’re all hip on the fast thumbin’ lingo.
