Jim Zorn Named Redskins Head Coach

Redskins Offensive Coordinator (for the last two weeks) Jim Zorn has been named Head Coach of your Washington Redskins.

  1. very odd hire in my opinion. Maybe Snyder is just waiting a year or two for a guy like Cowher, because that’s about all Zorn will be good for.

    Too bad Fassel didnt get more of a look. He knows the NFC East fairly well.

  2. I’m torn on whether I should hope this is a year or two thing. Zorn’s coming in with a West Coast style mindset. I don’t see the point it getting all the players and system to shift for just a year or two only to do it again, especially if they start making trades or acquisitions based on Zorn’s style.

    I like the idea of a new guy, though, someone young and getting his feet wet. There’s a lot of potential and no baggage quite yet.

    Fassel, eh, I’m not sure how well he’d have worked. He had one good season and a mediocre coaching career after that. He’d have been better than Mooch, that’s for sure.
