Shaun Kenney for 54th District House of Delegates
This week my brother Shaun officially announced his candidacy for the House of Delegates seat in Virginia’s 54th District, challenging incumbent Bobby Orrock in the June 14th primary.
“After much prayer and consideration, many consultations with my wife, Republican Party leadership and conservative activists, I have come to the decision to challenge Bobby Orrock in the June 14th Republican primary,” stated Shaun Kenney.
“His voting record has simply been far too liberal for far too long,” Mr. Kenney continued. “We need to have an honest debate about the direction we want to see Virginia go. Do most we as Republicans want to be the party of tax hikes and bigger government, or do we deserve tax cuts and smaller government?” Kenney asked.
“I believe the voters of the 54th District are ready for a Republican who will stand up for our core Republican values of lower taxes, the right to life, and traditional marriage,” Mr. Kenney exclaimed. “I’m ready to help lead that fight.”
And before anyone starts screaming about Shaun being TOO right wing, let me reassure you that he is nothing of the sort. While Shaun and I do not see entirely eye to eye on every issue, I know for a fact he has the best interests of the people at heart and I can not think of a better man to hold public office than him.
All of my brothers and I were raised with the belief that we have a duty to stand up for the welfare of others. Whether it be through charity or public service, we have an obligation to help others and that is what Shaun is going to do. I’m proud that he is my brother and I stand behind him 100% in his efforts.
